Each week (give or take) we'll be posting a new video culled from the internets, related to the arts of recording, mixing, writing or some other form of studio knob-turnation.

Congratulations to Devin Moore, whose long-awaited Melodius and the Soulforge, Act I was released this week. A few weeks ago, Devin took us through the album's creation on the Rifflet blog.

It's open to everyone, and for the commitment-phobic, you don't even need to join before you can make a post.

The Modern Riffer is back and settled into a new home on a (much) faster server. Now, back to work on the new Search by Creative Commons license feature. Check it out in progress here.

We're in the process of moving to a brand new (and way faster) server. In the process, The Modern Riffer will be temporarily down, but it plans to return very soon in all its self-important glory. Thanks for your patience.

If you haven't noticed, the old Rifflet search engine was not exactly...good. In fact, it didn't work at all. We've installed a new search function powered by a little-known startup-you probably haven't heard of them, but we expect great things. Watch out Lycos!

The new official Rifflet blog is debuting today over at http://blog.rifflet.com. It's still a work in progress, but like jeans that just got out of the dryer, it's fitting better as the day goes on.

Soon, it will be home to things related to Rifflet, recording, Creative Commons, digital music and extra crap that just won't fit anywhere else. Give it a read.

We're getting the kinks out of our (slightly) new layout, which hopefully makes things easier to find. The new look is just one of the new things we're got for 2009, including a completely new blog, "The Modern Riffer," and a totally Rifflet-produced album.
